With ongoing partnerships and public advocacy, a small community organization like MDCA is able to contribute to big wins for the community including: 

• The formation of the Toronto Community Benefits Network, an agency working with many sectors to create employment and community benefits (such as a community centre) to neighbourhoods influenced by transit investments 
• Preserving Scotiabank and Kodak Building from demolition
• Securing new landscaping at Jane & Lambton, Ray & Victoria, and Bartonville & Jane
• Successfully pressuring Metrolinx to:
  • replace a gas fired power plant with an energy storage system
  • install under- ballast mats to reduce vibration from passing trains, between Jane Street and the Black Creek bridge
  • preserve track-side trees and plant trees along transit developments
